2. Nature of this website

This website is for product presentation, documentation, and support.
It does not sell licenses and does not process payments. Software is distributed exclusively through the Apple Mac App Store.

3. No analytics or marketing cookies

We currently do not use analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies, and we do not use ad networks.
A cookie consent banner is therefore not required at this time. If we introduce analytics later, we will obtain consent first and update this policy.

4. Display preference (light / dark)

The theme toggle may store your preferred appearance (light or dark) in your browser (typically via localStorage).

• Purpose: remember your preference on later visits
• No sharing with third parties
• No advertising or tracking profile
• Deletion: clear site data / local storage in your browser settings

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a usable interface) and, where applicable, storage necessary for providing a service expressly requested by the user.

5. Fonts

Fonts (IBM Plex Sans, IBM Plex Mono, Source Serif 4) are served locally from our own web server.
Visiting the site does not trigger a connection to Google Fonts or other font CDNs.

6. Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted in Germany (all-inkl.com).

The host may create server logs (e.g. IP address, time, requested URL, user agent) for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention, retained according to the host’s practices for a limited period.

7. Email contact

If you email us, we process the data you provide (e.g. address, message content, optional app/system details) to handle your request.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and/or (f) GDPR.
Retention: as long as needed to process the request, then deletion or restriction subject to statutory retention duties.

8. External content and links (Apple)

Product pages may load the official “Download on the Mac App Store” badge and link to Apple services (e.g. apps.apple.com, Apple Marketing Tools). Loading or clicking these may connect to Apple servers. Apple’s privacy terms apply to that processing.

App icons and screenshots may be loaded from Apple’s CDN (e.g. mzstatic.com) when included in product content.

9. macOS apps

Our macOS apps are sold only on the Mac App Store. App-level privacy details are shown in each App Store listing (App Privacy). Unless stated otherwise there, apps process data locally on the Mac and do not collect personal data from the app.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection (where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f)), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
